Did You Turn Back Time?

Here in (most of) the US daylight saving time ended this morning at 2 a.m. local time. We got an extra hour of sleep last night! The next few days sunrise and sunset are gonna feel wonky and we’re gonna feel vaguely like it’s the wrong time of day all the time! Let the fun begin! Yet, somehow I feel like it’s better than in spring when we lose an hour.

Did you turn your clocks back? If not, WHOOPS, BETTER GO DO THAT.

  1. I never miss Fall Back. Extra sleep.
It will feel weird but we’re actually on the correct time now. I have no idea why we have to do Daylight Savings Time anyway.

    1. I thought it had something to do with farming in the old days, but according to Wikipedia it mostly got started because some guy wanted more daylight time to pursue his bug-collecting hobby after work (gee, I wish I could change the whole world to suit my own needs):

It’s also mostly touted as a way to save energy and electricity, but a lot of states want to get rid of it. Hilariously and coincidentally, we had a brief blackout this morning here around 5 a.m. I could just imagine the DST supporters wagging their fingers and saying “we told you so!” 😀
