Yesterday, I discovered my upcoming novel The Wicked City has a placeholder on Kensington’s website. I don’t have a cover yet, but all the other pertinent information is there, like the blurb, buy links (which obviously aren’t active yet), release date, and my author bio. I’ve finally stopped hyperventilating enough to brag about it a little.
I can still scarcely believe this is real. March 2nd seems like a million years away, and yet, it’s so close! After all my years writing, doubting, crying, struggling, high hopes and dashed dreams, all those times I threw down my pen and yelled “I quit!” only to pick it back up again, my life’s ambition is finally going to be realized in less than six months. It didn’t really hit home until I saw that placeholder. They’re really going to publish me! I didn’t dream it!
I only hope the readers will enjoy it as much I enjoyed writing it–scratch that, there were times I definitely wanted to set it on fire. I hope you enjoy it MORE than I enjoyed writing it.
Also, this October I’m going to be all over the place, talking about wellness, Halloween, and of course, myself. Check out the front page of my site for more info on where I’ll be making appearances and when.
